Barista

The barista is responsible for making drinks and serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our food and drinks. The barista fulfills any other duties the store manager, assistant manager or shift supervisor assigns.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sell and serve drinks, hot foods, baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.
• Maintain an understanding of all drink and food offerings; memorize basic tea recipes.
• Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develop a rapport with customers.
• Verbally receive and call back customer orders in a friendly manner.
• Proper handling of cash register and P.O.S. system.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Answer telephone in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the day and following day.
• Daily cleaning of work stations, kitchen area, and bathrooms; weekly deep cleaning of various equipment.
• Help replenish stock.
• Reports to manager on duty.

Requirements, Qualifications & Physical Demands:

• Barista or food prep experience is a huge plus
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail when taking orders and making drinks
• Strong team player and interpersonal skills
• Maintains positive company morale and professional attitude
• Ability to resolve customer service issues in a professional manner
• Integrity and reliability is a must
• Runs errands, when needed, to pick up supplies and/or product
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, holidays, and/or special events
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Required to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay Rate: Starts at $12/hr, with free drinks and discount on food.
